The In-Person Private Lesson Package is perfect for Those that enjoy doing the hands-on training themselves and have the capacity to commit to weekly homework.

During these 10 hour-long lessons, your professional trainer will break down the training concepts you will need to see success in bite-size weekly lessons, giving you everything you need to train your own dog.

This package covers basic and advanced on and off leash obedience (e-collar included), as well as customizing this training to address your dog’s unique needs as well.

Your trainer will also help you place a high emphasis on life skills that your dog will need, both while in obedience behaviors, as well as their time outside of it.  Skills like increased impulse control, conditioned relaxation, decompression, confidence building and more are wildly underutilized by most training companies. These are equally, if not more, important to teach as obedience behaviors.  Your trainer will also help you engage in interactive play with your dog, engagement, calm leash manners, calm indoor manners, and stopping minor unwanted behaviors.

Commands your dog will learn:

Name Recognition
Sit (on and off leash)
Down (on and off leash)
Heel (on and off leash)
Let’s Go (on and off leash)
Place (on and off leash)
Here (on and off leash)
Wait (on and off leash)
*All behaviors will have an inherent Stay built in, until told otherwise)

Examples of minor problem behaviors that can be addressed with this program:

Pulling on the leash
Not coming when called
Excessive barking
Counter surfing
Jumping on people or furniture
Chasing cats or other prey-like items (small dogs, kids, cars, etc)
Mouthiness / play biting
Not following through with commands when distracted
**Barrier / fence reactivity
**Resource guarding
**Aggression towards people or other dogs
Minor problem behaviors may be addressed, however severe reactivity, aggression, anxiety/fear would fall under the category of Rehabilitation Training.

Training will start in non-distracting locations (in the home or suggested environments) and then gradually progress to more distracting environments to challenge you and your dog. It’s common for us to customize these settings to each dog’s needs, which will vary lesson to lesson, depending on your dog’s progression, however our goal is to culminate your lessons in the environments that you ideally wish to spend time with your dog. If your goal is to take your dog to a brewery, on a hike or to a festival, we will work towards and then gradually spend time in these areas.
